LMWA was proud to be so well represented in Washington this August. Member's achievements included two WD major wins and two Specialty Best in Shows! Congrats to the winners!

Peter and Nancy Szabo are proud to announce their first Champion: Swiftsure Sierra Leone aka “Cleo”. Cleo won “Best of Breed” on May 17, and on May 19, at the Auld Lang Syne Dog Association Dog Show.Under Judges Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel (May 17) and Jean Bateman (May 19), Cleo finished her Championship. Cleo was handled by her owner Peter Szabo. We would like to thank Steve and Linda Buchholz of Swiftsure whippets for all of their support and advice. We really enjoy being part of the Wonderful World of Whippets, everyone is very friendly and helpful.A very big “Thank you” to everyone who helped us along the way!

Ironwood whippets had futurity placements for Can Ch Summit Ironwood Pretty In Prada, Summit Ironwood Tony Soprano, Summit Ironwood Decadance, Summit Ironwood Creme Brulee and Summit Ironwood Just Ducky. Regular Class Placements included Summit Ironwood Tony Soprano and in puppy bitches, three littermates from the 2007 Cybil x Remington litter: Summit Ironwood Creme Brulee (2), Summit Ironwood Orange Marmalade (3) and Summit Ironwood Just Ducky (4). Am/Can Ch Summit Some Days Are Diamionds took 4th in 7-10 veteran bitch sweeps.
Swiftsure celebrated the accomplishments of two Bongo kids, Ch. Counterpoint Genuine Risk took 3rd in a huge open bitch class and Can Ch Vivace A Little Rumba Numba took 2nd in Am bred.Ch Highbridge Home Ice Advantage made the cut in his class, as did Bongo (AmCan Ch Counterpoint Jungle Drums, FCH, TRP, DPC) himself in the large Stud dog class.
Janet Juzkiw is proud to have Can Alt Ch Dauntae's Our Little Rascal AmCan CD. CGC, CGN, AmRN take 4th in veterans obedience and ties for 1st in Rally Novice B. AmCan Ravenridge Beltane Fire AmCD, TRPX, DPC, SR, CAV recieved his first Rally leg and Can Ch Highbridge Powerplay CGC passed his Canine Good Citizen test.
Other members that showed were Barb Barclay and Jennifer Szabo in Open bitch with Zelda (Barclay) and Ember (Barclay/Romano) and Janet Stritychuk's Becca was shown by Jennifer Hughes in open- they didn't make the cut, but a class of 40! It was the first National for Janet J., Janet S, Barb and Jennifer S and they all report it to be an overwhelming experience but great fun and can't wait to go again!
